For a company that's all about things, the MyThings office in Menlo Park, CA was tragically bleak and thing-less. Oh sure, we have cubicles and computers and well, cubicles and computers. Oh! And turkey jerky. Of course turkey jerky. Life is not worth living without it. But other than that the place is pretty much devoid of interesting things.
UNTIL NOW!
I would like to proudly announce that MyThings has a COUCH!
We bought it at Ikea and we carried it and we put it together with our own bare hands, frail and weak from years of typing. But it is done! On it sit Ivy, our designer, Tania, our new product manager and me. I'll let you figure out who's who. It's kind of a terrible picture of all of us - we were a touch exhausted from all the strenuous couch putting togetherness.
We also have a hippopotamus. He is as yet unnamed. Any suggestions? This is VERY IMPORTANT.
In addition, there's also new shelving which looks suspiciously like a step ladder. To counter this effect, we put stickers on it. Now it looks like a step ladder covered in stickers - a vast improvement, I assure you. We're going to start bringing in our favorite things and putting them in there - I'll take pictures and keep you posted.
In the meanwhile - think of a name for the hippo, please. He is very lonely.
